Most people don't have acres of land.

They sometimes have a backyard.

The Suburban Bird Sanctuary is my attempt to show that even a small suburban space can become meaningful habitat for wildlife—and a place where people reconnect with nature.

Over the coming months and years, I'll be documenting every step of the transformation, from the first shovel of dirt to the birds that eventually call it home.
